Call The Siren is a music composition and production studio specialising in commercial work as well as long and short form work for film, television and theatre. It is collaboratively owned and run by Nonku Phiri and Gareth Jones. From more cinematic and emotive scoring to original song-driven compositions with hooky lyrics, we deliver authentic, memorable soundtracks that connect with audiences and enhances your images

Nonku Phiri

Following the release of her debut solo single, the internationally acclaimed ‘Things We Do On The Weekend’, Nonku Phiri has established herself as one of the most distinctive and influential voices in South Africa’s music landscape. Effortlessly moving between disciplines, she has proceeded to become a sought after collaborator, working with multiple artists, spanning continents and genres.

Gareth Jones

Since moving to South Africa from the UK in 2007, Gareth has been lucky enough to work with a good amount of some of the most talented artists in the country. From Fantasma, Spoek Mathambo, to Hlasko, Card On Spokes and many more including Nonku herself. The past 15 years he’s done almost everything from production to mixing and mastering for SA and international artists and clients as well as composing music, creating sound design and performing final mix duties for commercials and films here and abroad.
